You can still smoke weeds with glufosinate, but the herbicide will no longer be called Ignite. Bayer CropScience has announced that the brand name Liberty returns as an herbicide partner for use on LibertyLink crops in the U.S. The name will also be used globally.

Although farmers may see some previously packaged Ignite filter through market channels this spring, the company intends to begin marketing glufosinate under the Liberty brand for the 2012 crop season. There will be no formulation changes when the change takes place.
